I am feeling frustration today. DNA (buccal) was supposed to be done yesterday to test the birth mother and Mario. This is a United States requirement as they require 3-4 "sign offs" from the birth mother to ensure the adoption is legitimate. The first 2 are finished, with the DNA being the 3rd. She did not show. I guess her mother was ill, so she was not able to come. It is supposed to be rescheduled for next week, with no date set yet. This sets us back another week which to most does not seem a lot, but it already is taking 8-10 weeks to get Pre-Approval (PA). PA is needed to get to PGN (like the attorney general's office here) which takes anywhere from 3-6 months. UGH.
On a lighter note, we had a birthday party for Allison (which was supposed to be a surprise, but you know 12 year old girls) on Saturday. It was great. We rented the YMCA pool where the kids swam, ate cake and pizza and "hung out." What a great bunch of friends Alli has! They are so sweet and funny. Their parents really should be PROUD. 28 boys and girls, and not one problem, they stayed to help clean up, and there were LOTS of thank yous and hugs for me at the end. Heartwarming that we live in such an awesome community. I will post a photo with just the family soon.
Alli's softball team is kicking butt as well! Only ONE LOSS so far! We are seriously going to gain many pounds from the celebratory ice cream after each game! Proud Papa who is assistant coach wanted me to make sure to add the softball news!!!! Gooo Freeport Fastpitch!

Isn't it amazing how slow time seems to be going when we are trying to adopt!!! Of course once we get our boys home we will be complaining time is going too fast and our kids are growing up too fast--- we can't win!!! Our documents finally made it out of the KAZ Embassy and now we wait...1-5 months to travel!!!
