Happy 4th!

Monday night, Alli's 12U softball team made it to the Championship game! It was one of the most exciting games all season! Although they did not win, the girls played their hearts out! They came in second place out of 32 team! Not bad at all! We were so proud of them!

Softball season is over, and football is beginning. We are trying to get a few day trips in before the thrill of the season takes over. My Junior Varsity girls have been practicing for a few weeks already and are doing great. My youth girls will be starting the 23rd, so we better relax fast (lol)! Jeff starts with his football team that date, too. He had 10 and 11 year olds. He also will start his new job on the 1st of August. Lots of changes. I better pick out my paint and start this nursery, that little one will be here before we know it!

On the adoption front, some odd news - confusing, so stay with me here. Most families get their pre-approval (PA) from the US 60 days from the DNA results. We are about 30 days in. After PA is received, a case is entered into PGN (which is the final stage - the Guatemala side of the government). Our lawyers are entering our case into PGN without Pre-Approval from the US. Most families get a previo (or Kick Out) of PGN for some mistake in their paperwork. It seems like things get kicked out for the littlest things (a signature does not have a clear letter, something is in black that should be in blue). Our case WILL get kicked out for NOT having a PA which is a requirement. The lawyers goal here is for them to catch any OTHER mistake before they kick us out, so we can fix it and reenter before our Pre-Approval even arrives. Whew. I know that is confusing, but that is where we are. Most folks are all excited when they enter PGN and it is a BIG DAY for them... they pray and pray for no previos... us on the other hand are HOPING to get kicked out as quickly as possible, so we can resubmit.

I am not sure how long the average time in PGN is, so I am hoping that this speeds our case along, not holds us up longer. He will be 4 months soon, and we don't want to miss one single day more!

We are off to my parents' house to visit (about a half mile away)! They took Al to see fireworks last night, and she slept there. She has a blast with them.

Have a Happy and safe 4th of July!

Hope you get PA soon and get out of PGN for good soon.
It all made sense to me and I haven't been there yet.

I bet that was a nail-biting game! Good for them. And I bet she does have fun with your parents. I think I would have fun with them, too.

Well, I don't know how, but I understand all that you said about the adoption. And it sounds like a good plan to me. (I know how important THAT is in the grand scheme of things. LOL!)

Goodness, I understood what you were saying, but it does sound unusual. I guess it's how the game is played. I hope this comes together soon and all goes smoothly. That little guy deserves to be with his loving family as soon as possible! I know the waiting must be agony.
