WE ARE IN!

We have "officially" entered into PGN - (The Guatemalan Solicitor General’s Office (Procuradoría General de la Nación, PGN) is the adoption authority in Guatemala. Adoptions must be finalized through the PGN.) PGN is the final (sort of) stop through the process. We were told that we entered in on July 4th, but our receipt says JULY 11! There was some sort of "paperwork error" that took a while to fix which was the reason for the delay.

We are hoping for a quick Kick Out or previo, so we can enter back in with the one document that we need - our PRE APPROVAL from the US! Come one PA and KO! All of these initials that I never heard of before this adoption! The only words I want to hear is M-O-M from one cutie pie little boy! Our PA should take 60 days - day 60 is our anniversary July 28th!

Once we enter back into PGN, it could take anywhere from 4 weeks to many months to get PINK which is the approval to fly on down! WE ARE HOPING FOR THE WEEKS, NOT MONTHS!!!!!

Jeff is still transferring to the new job... education is strange, especially administration since they can hold you for 60 days in your job until you finish what they need or find someone who can replace you. There is no such thing as a 2 weeks notice :-) . He is making the slow transition to FHS. He is already excited to be there and hoping that he is able to tie up loose ends by August 1. We are taking days here and there and doing all of the fun tings that we can do until the football season starts - the 23rd! Then, Alli starts 7th GRADE! Goodness - when people say that kids grow up fast, they aren't kidding.

I have to say, what a GREAT time in our lives. Things had not been easy for Jeff and I the first few years... not that any one's life is, but it is REALLY looking up in 2007! Here's to 2008 being wonderful!!!!!!!
