August Update

We got what we have been waiting for - our August update! First, we are STILL waiting to enter PGN. We have the approval from the US, but the embassy was closed a few days last week, so the paperwork we needed was not able to be picked up. The agency assured us that they will be picking up the final papers to enter into PGN this week. It is strange how quickly a week can fly by here, but that one little week makes our case one week longer. I hate the fact that Mo is almost 6 months. I really thought that we would be further along by now. I think that is a common feeling of those who are adopting. It is the longest wait. Once in PGN the average stay is 8 weeks - that is if nothing goes wrong. After that, you wait another 4-6 weeks to go get him. Everyone keeps asking, "when?" and I would LOVE to tell them a date... I want a date, but all we get is a best guess. That just plain SUCKS. There, I said it. It is not nice, but it is true.

In the meantime, there is great news each month with a medical update and photos. He is a funny little man. I can't wait to get my hands on his hair.. that Donald Trump look is way out. He has such funny expressions. His eyebrows crack us up. Jeff and I just laugh at him. Every photo of him looks different. Jeff is a man of few words, but he looked at his photos about 10 times tonight and finally said, "I just can't wait to get down there - I am going to eat him up!" I was so happy to hear he is just as anxious as I am! Alli just keeps saying that it is taking so long. She started 7th grade today. I cannot believe I have a seventh grader in my house! She had a great day. I was relieved.
Mario is 15lbs. 10 ozs. Is that big? I don't even know anymore! He is rolling over from front to back! That is good!
Well, enjoy our new pics of Mo. He is a funny little man, huh?

awww he's cute. I like the hair! I'll tell you what, guatemalans are into hair gels. They either slick back or spike up.

He's a funny, beautiful little man! Couldn't you just fall into those gorgeous eyes. I can see why Jeff said he was going to eat him up!
