Mulch, Harrison Ford and a Swing...

Boy, what a busy "working" weekend! It was FINALLY nice outside for 2 whole days! Jeff had Friday and Monday off, and we took full advantage of the time. Friday, we did yard work at my parents house while Mario hung out on the porch with Nanny and Allie. Saturday, we made several trips to get truckloads of mulch. I was so glad to have that started. There is nothing that looks better than fresh mulch on our landscaping!

Allie went to the movies that night with friends. They went to see Indiana Jones... she came out, and I said, "Well, what did you think?" She replied, " I didn't get it." I said, " Well, you probably have to see the first 3 to 'get it'." Her response:

There are OTHER ONES?????

I laughed at how we are in the car often, and a "hip hop" song comes on that has been sampled, and I know the words to a part... she is AMAZED... I then burst her bubble to tell her that this song was made back in "my day." Kids!

Sunday, we finished all of the mulching we could muster - well, until we were finding mulch in places NO mulch should be - and I took Allie to see her boyfriend's baseball game. There is a little park by the field, so Mo and I went swinging! My BFF Jenn's son, Dustin plays on the team, so it is nice to be able to hang out with her, too!

This is my first swing, mom....so take it easy!

I am not sure I like my flip flops off of the ground this high....

I'm kinda over this....

Oh. Dear. Lord. WHAT THE HECK?!?!?
Boring again....

Wheeeeeeee!

JOY.

gripping for dear life...

I'm done swinging, mom... let's hang out with Chase! (Jenn's "baby")
These bleachers are Dirty... does that bother you, mom?
"gorilla-walking" to Aunt Jenn!Come on, Aunt Jenn, CHHHAAAASSSEEE MEEEEE!
One puff for me, one puff for me, one puff for me, one puff for ME

This is the life... a comfy seat, shade, baseball and snacks!
And SISSY!

Dad, level with me here, do horizontal stripes make me look fat?

Monday, Allie went to my cousin Don and Deb's house with Nanny and Pappy. Deb had Krista the same week I had Allie, so her and Krista are best buds! Allie loves going to visit them, and it certainly doesn't hurt that they have an indoor pool! She had a blast! Here they are before she left:

Aren't they just sweet? He just adores her and squeals when she enters the room!

Allie had a softball game in the bitter cold last night. They lost, so no one was really in a good mood... it did NOT help that Allie had bands put on her braces right before the game. Her teeth were killing her. I have never had braces, but I hear they really hurt. Poor kiddo! Jenn and her kids came up, too. It is always nice to see her. She fed Mo Rice Krispie Treats, so he was just saying, "mmmmmm" the whole time! My mom and dad came and of course had puffs ready... this kid is going to turn into a puff!

We hope that you celebrated your weekend with those you love the most!

The pic of Mo with Chase. Adorable. The back of Mo reminded me of Asa at that age. The back of his head is so cute and in that little romper...CUTE! How much fun you must be having!

Allie is GORGEOUS!! She is a hottie.

Flip flops are my weakness!! I have two girls so imagine the cashier's expression when I walked up with 14 pairs of flip flops when I finally found them in infant/toddler sizes!! I had to have all seven colors for each of them right?? A girl can never have too many shoes!!
P.S. If Mario hasen't already been taken I have a little girl about his age!! LOL!! He's a cutie!!
