Monday, Monday

Since others are telling me that reading posts aren't boring... although I disagree looking back on mine the past few days... I will give the daily update sans camera.

Mario is producing snot... currently... minute by minute... more snot than you can shake a stick at.... the poor kids HATES to have his tiny- almost- non-existent-wonder -how- he -even breathes- nose wiped... he runs, then lays on the ground trying to flip over while I am wiping... I am using the soft "lotion" tissues and have even tried to be more sympathetic and used baby wipes, but the kid still acts like I am trying to kill him.... really, who likes snot running down their face? my kid.

To add insult to injury, he has his wellness appointment tonight at 5:30... both kids are supposed to get vaccinations... I called Jeff today at work at whits end saying that we are just going to wait... there is no way in h e-double hockey sticks that I am holding my son down while someone gives him shots while he is already ill.. no thanks.. not my idea of a good time. It can wait until next week.

Last night was nutty here, by the way. Thanks to the hurricanes (I think that this one is Ike's fault) our little tiny town was blown to bits. High winds ripped out many trees and knocked out power to much of the area causing schools to cancel or delay (neither of which for our school personally, but many neighboring ones). We were largely unscathed although it is a shock really since we live on a hill surrounded by weak- rooted scotch pines. Many branches, but no trees fell at our house... a few uprooted in the forest, but none close... Thank God.

Well, there it is... today in a nutshell. Not to exciting... lotta wind... lotta snot...not a lot of shower.

Oh how I love those snotty days....NOT!!! I am so sorry your little one is not feeling well. Being a mommy is so hard when you can't make them all better. Hope he is feeling better soon!

Ah... I'm glad you decided to ditch the doctors appointment. Sounds like you needed to stay home and just cuddle with Mario.

Hooray that you all are safe and sound. Sorry to hear about the trees... but at lease they are replaceable!

FYI- I think I finally have my head above water and can start blogging a little bit more. Graduate school and my new job were totally OVERWHELMING for the first few weeks... but I'm a survivor and actually enjoying it now!

We had horrible winds as well. A lot of the schools in the area were closed today.

Hope Mario is feeling better soon! And thankful you only had a few branches knocked off. I am in Massachusetts and even we got some of those weird winds today.
