So here it goes... in all of their glory: My Addictions:
1. reading - I love to read... I was not always a "reader," but I sort of grew into it. I read everything, but love books that are fiction, but real fiction... you know, like the characters are like people you know in real life. I don't like cheesy predictable crap, or romantic drivel... cynic, maybe, but that is what I like. I tried some memoirs and liked them... I tried Christian fiction, sorry, can't do it... couldn't get through The Shack, does that make me a bad person? lol.
I am in the middle of reading Wally Lamb's new book, and I can't get enough... I am actually rationing it because I do not want it to go too quickly! I take book suggestions... Ruthanne, I am getting Zippy for Christmas from the hubs! Can't wait!
2. terrible tv - I mean terrible. The Real World - every episode - every season for 20 some YEARS, The Real World Road Rules Challenge, Paris Hilton's New BFF, Charm School, Real Housewives - every season, Top Chef, Project Runway, all of it. I watch some serious garbage, but I like it. Jeff just groans when I have the remote, but really honey, how much Sports Center and O'Reilley Factor can you watch?
3. Lipton Black Iced Tea - Lemon flavored in a bottle - I love it.
4. Altoids - I carry them with me all of the time. Fresh breath is very important. :-)
5. blogs and Facebook - I love staying in contact with people, but miles and families certainly make it tough to stay in touch. Blogs, email and now Facebook make it SO much easier. If you do not yet have an account, get one. I always VOWED that I was too old for it, but I loved that I reconnected with sorority sisters, college buddies, and people from high school that I have not talked to since the 90's!
Now I must tag 5:
Steph - because now that her kids are in public school, she seriously is sitting there eating bon bons, right? lol
Cams - because I know U2 and Bubble Town HAVE to be in her top 5.
Annie - because she is all moved in and needs to do one of these.
Kathleen/Beya - next to my mom, one of the coolest on the planet!
Sissy/Trina - because she drank beer in a church when she came to Pittsburgh because she is cool like that (check out her blog)
oh, and for good measure I throw in the bow-making Queen, Holls, because she makes the most kick ass bows around!

Okay, we HAVE TO swap phone numbers so I can call you each week to talk about the reality TV trash. I watch those exact same shows and everbody I know laughs at me.
What did you think of the Real Housewives of Alanta Reunion? OMG.
How about Paris's BFF finale. Did you like Veronica or Britney?
Oh there is so much to talk about.

Your blog is Fabulous for sure!!!
I love, love, love reading too. And yeah, I cant do Christan fiction either, actually I am scared to just walk down the aisle for fear of being struck by lightening. :-)
You deserve the fab blog award!! i love it!
My hubby loves to read as well. But he reads books like " A confederacy of Dunces" or "Crimes and Punishment" By Fyodor Dosteovsky. he loves the classics so when he read "The shack" and just raved about it... I thought maybe not. LOL.. but many people say its good...I just can't read it for some reason. I asked Greg to get me the Wally lamb book you suggested. Can't wait to read it. Sounds like we like the same. I will have to get you a list of some really good books that I have read. (snowflower and the secret fan, very good) I still think you would like the Francine Rivers book. It was Christian fiction but the characters were like people of today but back in the Roman days. It is definitely christian though. alright..see ya on face book! heee
