Snowflake Oh Eight!

Allison went to her Junior High's Snowflake dance. She "went" with a guy friend.. although the did not travel together there ~ dates to this are more "theoretical"....lol... they get "formal" pics taken at the dance... dance a few slow songs, that is about it. She was more excited to hang with the girls... well, frankly getting ready is more fun than the actual dance! (I took lots of pics, so feel free to scroll by quickly)

First, it was all about the shoes... Alli is barely 5 foot, so these shoes were funny on her! They were VERY pretty though... I personally would not have allowed this high of a heel, but that is what you get for sending her with her Grandma to shop... she asks and receives! hee hee!

The other big thing was taking her yesterday to get acrylic nails. I have always said no - wait until you are older... but I caved. She has had manicures before, but never a full set! They turned out just the way she wanted....her dress has royal blue, so she did them to match... she has such tiny hands (we will have to measure hers to yours Trina - I hear yours are freakishly small! lol)

She also went to the salon to have her hair done today... she loved it!
There was a knot in the back...to hold up the sides... I am not sure how that lady did that? It was cool!

Here is Alli's dress. When we bought it, it fit perfectly... today, she put it on, and it was too big.... RIGHT before she had to leave... so there I was sewing a tuck in the side. Sheesh... talk about pressure on the seamstress! :-) I thought that she looked cute!

If anyone makes any comments about my crazy hair or looking like Rosie O'Donnol in this pick, I will give you the Stink Eye! I had just sewn a dress for goodness sakes! lol!

Alli and her Daddy... he had to go directly to supervise a Varisty girls' b-ball game after... don't they look sweet?

Alli and her dapper brother!

We stopped in to see Pap Pap at work... he is back to work this week and recovering well from his hip surgery! He is VERY busy filling perscriptions.. it sure seems like everyone is sick right now!

Then we stopped over to see Nanny... Alli just LOVES her grandparents.... they are the best!
Then off to the gazebo to take some pics with her BFF's!

It was freezing, but fun!
Afterwards, it was King's for a late night snack with pretty much everyone who went to the dance! She sure created memories and made me pretty nostalgic of all of the great times I had in school!

LOVE the pictures! Alli looks so grown up! Oh, I wish I could buy a dress then put it on a few months later and have it be too big, usually for me, its the other way around and I end up wondering if I am going to be able to sit down. LOL. Gorgeous family Jill!
