A baby boy was born and referred to us! His name is Mario Alejandro ! Below are some photos of our little man! We are cautiously excited! There are still some uncertainties that we will have to use the "wait and see" approach, but for now we are just taking in the happiness. Our home study is tomorrow, we are mailing or I600A Monday for our immigration paperwork, and we will fly our lawyer up from Guatemala on Monday or Tuesday to sign over power of attorney (see previous post). Hopefully, we will then be safe to go forward. Again, this process is VERY unpredictable, so keep praying for us. Also, start sending us some names that sound good with LESKO, because Mario is not going to cut it! We will name him after the first and we feel a bit more secure! Thanks to all for your support, excitement and listening to me babble on and on about all of this! We love you guys (even if we have not met some of you yet)!

What a beautiful baby boy!!!!! We are all so happy for you and you're all in our prayers. Mikie said he looks like a "Michael"! LOL I think he wants you to name him that. I think he looks like Adrian. Just my thought.

My parents had a good friend and his name was "Mario".... He came with his family to America as a little boy and once here always went by the name Mark....
I've been googling Spanish names... Here's what I found about Mario....
The boy's name Mario \m(a)-rio\ is pronounced MAR-ee-oh. It is of Latin origin, and its meaning is "manly". From Marius. Also used as masculine form of Mary (Latin) "star of the sea" and variant of Mark. See also Mariano. New York governor Mario Cuomo; chef Mario Batali.
I also love the name "Matthew" which means "Gift of the Lord".... appears Mateo is also a popular Spanish name...
You'll know in your heart when you hear the right name.... LOL - guess he wouldn't be happy growing up with the name "Gorgeous".... but that's just what he is....

What a precious little boy! I am so happy for y'all and will continue praying hard that it all goes well. I really don't have any ideas about a name, but I like Janice's idea of "Matthew", a gift from God. Seems to suit the situation.

You know how happy we are for you!! Brady's partial to BRUCE..LOL!! Reminds me of the shark in Finding Nemo though. I do like Matthew too!! That's my baby Chase's middle name and I often call him Matthew!! Matthew Lesko..I think I like it. But any name you pick will great for this beautiful baby boy of yours! I will keep thinking of names and emailing them to you! Good Luck tomorrow and it'll go smoothly.

Oh, I'm just SO excited for you! What a wonderful thing to see your son for the first time...and to share him with the rest of us. Thank you. Continued prayers for a smooth and speedy adoption.
As far as names go, I'm partial to Ethan (my 7 mo. old grandson) or Mason (my grandson that is due NOW!). Or how about Jensen or Greyson....different but not weird. I also have always loved the name Matthew, so I'll join in the vote for that name. Keep us posted on your journey to meeting your son.

Oh. My. Gosh. WHAT an awesome gift from God. An Easter baby!!! My my my goodness. A name, okay a name, hmmm. Lets see, well, when you're calling both kids to come in it sounds neat to say "Allison, Ethan!" or "Allison, Evan!" or "Allison, Garrison!" and he looks good and strong like all three of those names.
We got our children by adoption instead of by birth and we kept one of their birth names and used it as a middle name, just so they would know that we celebrated and accepted their birth and their birth names. So our kids have FOUR names (because I, by gosh, still wanted to give them middle names too! Ha.
What's your maiden name? Usable as a first name?

What a cutie he is!!!!!! All things will work out and you will have that little one home with you guys. My oldest daughter Ashlee, was all happy that she can throw her two cents in for a name. She likes the names Braxton or Tristan. Alec liked the names Trenton and of course Alec or Alex. Katie likes Cammeron or Garret. And I like Aidan, Quinn ( I know Aidan Quinn is an actor). And the normal name would be Mathew. I am sure with what ever name you guys come up with will be perfect. It will come to you.

You have come so far! We have faith that everything will continue to go smoothly. He is so sweet and I'm sure that your anticipation is overwhelming. As far as names....I like Aiden. Allison & Aiden. I like names that all start the same. Go figure - look at our kids! LOL! I also like Landon. Landon Lesko. Maybe Landon Mario Lesko. Pretty cool I think. Whatever you decide, it will fit. I know Allison is so excited! (Colton tells me so). The four of you are in our thoughts and prayers and we can't wait to meet the little guy!
