So, there I was watching Jeff sit in a chair turning a bit white while I held my son for his second biopsy since he has been here. This time, they did it on his leg. I am not squeamish about anything but vomit (well, and stuff that smells bad), so I was lying on the table holding him still. They do a local shot, which he was not very fond of. They take this straw shaped scalpel and burrow into his skin and take it out. Then, the fastest stitches I have ever seen were done. The doctor is skilled, but it still feels so awful to hold my child while screaming (him, not me, although I did tear up.).
We will know if it is in fact this virus in a week and a half or so. In the meantime, we have been prescribed yet another cream, this time this one burns... HOW FUN! We have to place the medicine on each little dot... he has a gazillion of them, so that should not be difficult at all *sarcasm* Mario did get the doc back a bit... while the male doc was examining him looking for a (and I swear they USE this gross term) "juicy" one to scrape, Mario "tooted" right in his face. Well, that is what you get for ticking off a baby then lifting his leg up. I replied, "Whoops, so sorry!"
I will leave you with beautiful pictures of my favorite people in the world. Alli is okay - on the mend. The baby has not been eating anything but pedialite for 2 days since he is vomiting everything due to major coughing. We are hoping he clears up soon, so he will be able to enjoy all of the great ideas you all gave to me. Who decided to not let kids have over the counter cough and cold medicine until they are SIX? Darn FDA!
I think that this one is funny. Mo is getting another tooth (his 5th!) and is grinding them.. what a beautiful sound - NOT! Alli is gorgeous as always if I do say so myself.
What sweeties... you can see Mo's many band aids on his forehead. Alli straightened her hair for today... all of that natural curl - woman always want the opposite of what they have, huh?

Love the pictures of the two of them. I love Alli's hair...I am so proud of Jenna for donating her hair twice now(3 feet total), but I can't wait for her hair to grow again!! I look at pictures and can't believe how long it was.
Mo's rash looks much better!! Maybe I can catch up with you this weekend.

I'm sorry you had to go through all that. I can't even imagine how hard it is to watch the Dr. burrow into Mario's skin. Sounds like you're doing a good job at holding up though!
If it is a virus, then what do they do about it? Aren't most viruses untreatable? Don't they just have to run their course?
Alli's hair is gorgeous. I love the pictures of the two of them together. They look soo happy.
Good luck getting all the new medicine on.

What beautiful kids indeed! I love Mo's payback to the doc!
Jill,
I feel for you..having to hold little Mario while they poke and pry at him. It was always hard for me to hold my babies while they got their immunizations (tears would roll from both of us!)
I hope and pray that he is feeling better!

Alli just gets prettier and prettier. And this is after being sick! They look good together.
Still praying that all of this will soon be just an unpleasant memory for y'all.
Oh my goodness, Mo is a tooth grinder too?!?! My little grandaughter has been driving us crazy with that sound. I don't remember any of my own four doing that, nor any of my other grandkids. But that sound! that sound! ARGH! The only thing worse would be fingernails on a chalkboard.
Good for people to know.
