Happy Valentine's Day, Bloggers!!!! After a week of snow and FREEZING temperatures, one 2 hour delay and TWO school cancellations - I FINALLY LEFT THE HOUSE! Hallelujiah!!!
Everything this week has had to be moved around and rescheduled due to the cancellations. This led to hs cheer tryouts being cancelled. Poor kids get so nervous, and now it is delayed. I am not finished with the season until after try outs... I have been at this since JUNE of 2007! I am ready to hang up my pom poms if ya know what I mean! :-)
Jeff fielded phone calls and the like about "do we have this activity since school is cancelled" and such while suffering with a sinus infection and bronchitis. I am hoping he is on the mend after FINALLY getting him to the doctors (risking life and limb on these horrible western PA roads!). Why do men have to be poked and prodded to go to the doctor? ugh.
So today started like this: Phone rings.... Mom, this is Alli... no duh, how many other people call me mom... yeah, (insert annoyed scoff) ANYWAY, I need you to bring me my volleyball t-shirt... NOW? It is 8am!... no, not NOW, but before the game at 5...okay... oh, and play tryouts were rescheduled for today from 3:30 to 5:30...okay... so, I need you to bring my volleyball shirt in my room, green tank top in my clothes basket, socks, blue shorts in my gym bag and cheer shoes by the side door... okay...thanks, MOOOOOM!
How cute is that kid. Normally, I would be annoyed, but maybe due to Valentine's Day, I thought... I AM NEEDED. The child called ME. She needs ME. Thanks MOOOOM... the best thing to hear.
She will find out if she made the play tomorrow. She is nervous, but is trying new things.
Jeff and I took Mario over to see my mom and dad, and we took Nanny some flowers. Of COURSE, Nanny had a gift for Alli... candy? no. flowers? no. Hollister sweatshirts? YES! So, spoiled! We picked up Alli and got take out from the Olive Garden! YUMMMMM! Even better that I did not have to cook - something that I am not a fan of. I also came home to:

Sounds like Ali is a great girl. Her parents must have raised her right :)
Glad you were able to get out. I HATE being stuck at home!
Your Valentine's day sounds great. I love the gift you got from your hubby and kids (and dog). It's so cold here today that the idea of a HOT bath sounds great!
