How a "normal couple" at 7 years of marriage celebrates their anniversary:
dinner out at a fancy candle lit restaurant having quiet conversation about their love for one another.... possibly a movie or long drive... then when they get home.... well, anyway...
How WE celebrated OUR 7 years of marriage:
skipped Monday since Jeff got home at 3:30, the dog was dropped off at a grooming appt at 3pm, needed to be picked up at 5pm, Alli had cheer practice at 5:45, Alli and I got home at 8pm in time to put the little man to bed...
sooo, last night was THE night... we ordered IN from Chili's... waaaaay too much food WITH dessert...we're talking nachos, spinach artichoke dip, chicken poppers, fajitas, etc...ugh.... we visited with the kids, put Mario to bed and this conversation occurred after Jeff and I laid down...
Me: Happy Anniversary, honey.
Jeff: Dear Lord, DON'T come near me. I ate so much I feel like I am going to burst.
Oh, ladies, you are so jealous, aren't you?
He cracks me up.... sooo romantic!

That food sounded DELICIOUS!! You are making me hungry!!!
LOL, love the ending to your evening. For our anniversary we usually go away for a romantic weekend.......this year the romantic weekend included the kids tagging along with us. =) It's funny how things change!!
BTW, I've never been to your blog (found it through Laurie's), you have a beautiful family!
Oh Jill, you make me waff. I am still laughing.
All that food and laying on a bed after sounds perfect for any occasion. Hmmmm, wish I had something to celebrate.
Great post.
The food sounded wonderful and the husband so romantic!!!

Glad you guys made it threw Chili's without having our experience. It all does sound good. Happy Anniversary!
WOW that sounds about like my anniversary except I'm still waiting for my anniversary dinner!!!
That sounds EXACTLY like our Valentine's Day ritual! We always order from Applebees. Ain't it wonderful being with someone so long?!
Chilis is my favorite!!
Your day actually sounds normal. Funny but normal!!!! :)

OMG- You crack me up. Actually Jeff's statement cracks me up. Funny but oh so true.
Personally I think the way you celebrated your anniversary sounds way more fun then the stuffy candle lit dinner.
Congratulations again!
