This past Saturday, we celebrated
Allison's final home game with her youth football (cheer) organization. There was a little graduation ceremony for the 8th graders! We have youth ages 6-13, then the girls can try out for 9th grade cheerleader for the High School. As I had written in previous posts, Alli has been doing this for
7 years, and I had advised the youth group for 6 of those (I did not do it this season). She has really come "out of her shell" through this and had a great time.
Coaching this year has been a GREAT experience and helped her confidence. She hopefully will still come back to coach throughout her years in High School. Here are some pictures of the festivities and the special people involved!
Alli with her daddy during the National Anthem... yes, I was taking pics like a true blogger!
Alli and ME! You will have to excuse the hair... it was about 100% humidity! My shirt was a gift from Cherrie (who was busy through the day, so no Cherrie pics :-( & Penny - It says CHEER MOM, and I love it!
Proud Papa of 2 this season! Boy, how we talked and talked about Mo last season while Alli was cheering... waiting and waiting... with such GREAT support from my friends there! They will never know how much is meant to me for all of the ladies to ask everyday about the process. THANK YOU for that!
Here is one of those FABULOUS ladies... Miss Penny! Alli just loves going to Penny's house.... it is so warm and wonderful... I felt "at home" with Penny the day I met her!
Here is Samantha "Simmy" who Alli calls the "cool mom"...hey, I thought that I was the cool mom... lol!
and of course, Miss Beth, who treats Alli like she is her own... this woman knows every cheer, every dance, everything... my chubby butt does NOT, so thank goodness SHE is there for those girls! Miss Beth is pure sunshine!
Look who else came! Grandpa Lesko!
and GRANDMA LESKO! who will be VERY mad when she sees her picture on here, even though she looks gorgeous all of the time!
Mario loves to "honk" people's noses!
look how happy Alli is that they came... THANK YOU for making the drive down!
and of course Mo invited his buddy... Pap Pap! What is that Pap has in his hand?
crackers in one, puffs in the other! And Nanny has some kind of gift bag with her for Alli ALWAYS... are my kids spoiled by their grandparents, or what?
here is the attempt to have Mario "walk" with us to "greet" Alli on the field for the ceremony...
family photo take one...
take 2 (you will see Mo in tears...)
take 3... now screaming, and we are laughing....
Got it! Yeah!
after Al had to go back to coaching...We are PROUD of you, Alli!
Was I bad for Alli's "graduation," Mum Mum?
Here are some signs that the girls wrote notes to her on...
and some we made with pics through the years
It was a GREAT Saturday with family and friends!
