Thankful Thursday

Here are the long awaited photos of Mario & Jeff on their way to vote (I went, too, but was taking the pictures, of course!). We are grateful that he is with us for the election. We are grateful that he is a US citizen. We are grateful that our final home study post placement visit was Saturday, and they are OVER... "all done" as Mario would say. He is ours FOREVER! Yeah!"I am so excited, even though I am sick with a cold... where are we going?"
"Coooool! I got a sticker AND an American Flag! I love the USA!"

"What do you mean your guy didn't win, Mum Mum? Oh, well. We support whoever is in office!"

There are so many things for which to be to be thankful , even with bad things happening. My father is back in the hospital. Right after we all voted, he headed to the doc for a check up after his hip replacement surgery. The doctor did not like how the incision looked and sent him back into the hospital. He is still in there with iv antibiotic. He is feeling okay, vitals are good, but is super-irritated that he has to be in there. They put in a pic line in order to have a quick way to get the 2 iv antibiotics in. They feel that he will have to come home with ivs. His is an unhappy camper, but we are thankful that they caught it in time. My mom is hanging in there and keeping the nurses and docs in line! Keep Mario and Alli's Pap Pap in your prayers this week! His name is Jack! Thanks, All!
** I do want to give props to my hubby who came home from work on Tuesday to hang with Mo, so I could run my dad to the hospital and stay with him a bit. I have the BEST husband who loves my family like I do. He really is a great son to them. I just love him.

Alli is at her Fall dance tonight, but I wanted to give a shout out to her... her report card was AWESOME. I know how hard she worked this year so far, and I know that Jeff and I are SO PROUD of her! Goooo, Alli!!!!!!!!!!!!!
